CONTACTS

Importing contacts files
You can import external contact files into your IBMR Lotus NotesR contacts.

When you import from another source, some of the fields or the information in fields may not map exactly to fields in your IBM Lotus Notes contacts. By default, this information is stored on the Unmapped Data tab in the new contact record. Alternatively, you can map this information to different fields when you import.

1. Open your contacts.

2. Click File > Import Contacts.

3. In the Import Contacts dialog box, select one or more files to import, and then click Open.

4. In the Preview Contacts dialog box, take any of the following steps, and then click Import:

Tip: You can drag a vCard file to your Contacts to create a new contact from it. Additionally, if you receive a vCard file as an attachment in a message, select the attachment and click View to see the list of contacts in the vCard. Then follow the steps above to save them in your Contacts.
