Creating shortcuts to other people's mail
When other people have delegated access to their IBMR Lotus NotesR mail to you, you can create shortcuts to open their mail. You can also create shortcuts to other people's NotesR mail when you use an IMAP-based mail program in addition to Notes.

The shortcuts display on the drop-down menu from your Mail header.

Note: Before you can create shortcuts, other people must have first delegated access to their mail to you. For information, see To delegate access to your mail.

To create shortcuts to other people's Notes mail

1. Open your mail, click More above the message list, and then click Preferences.

2. Click Access & Delegation.

3. Click Shortcuts to Others' Mail.

4. In the Create shortcuts to open the mail files of these people, type the names of people who have delegated access to their mail to you. Click the arrow to the right of the field to select names from a directory.

5. Click OK.

To create shortcuts in an IMAP-based mail program to other people's Notes mail

If you use both Notes mail and an IMAP-based mail program other than Notes to access your Notes mail, you can configure the IMAP-based program to give you access to other people's Notes mail. The shortcuts to other people's mail display as shared folders in the IMAP-based mail program.

Note: For assistance in setting up the IMAP-based mail program to open your Notes mail, see your DominoR administrator. The following steps will not work until your IMAP-based mail program is configured to open Notes mail.

1. Open your Notes mail, click More above the message list, and then click Preferences.

2. Click Access & Delegation.

3. Click Shortcuts to Others' Mail.

4. In the Create shared folders for mail owned by the following users field, type the names of people who have delegated access to their Notes mail to you. Click the arrow to the right of the field to select names from a directory.

5. Click OK.
