Adding graphics to a document
You can add graphics to a document by importing them or by pasting them into the document. You can resize a graphic once it has been added, and add captions or hotspots to it.

You must be in a rich-text field to add a graphic.


Tasks for adding and formatting graphics
TaskSteps
Import a graphic1. Click where you want to place the graphic.

2. Click File > Import.

3. Select the file to import, and then click Import.

Paste a graphic1. Open the graphic file, and then click Edit > Copy.

2. In the target file, click where you want to place the graphic.

3. Click Edit > Paste.

Position a graphic1. Click the graphic

2. Click Picture > Picture Properties, and then click the Paragraph Alignment tab.

3. Click an alignment position from the Alignment section.

Resize a graphic 1. Click the graphic.

2. Place your mouse pointer on the dark square in the graphic's lower right corner, and drag to resize the graphic.

Note: The graphic's current width and height displays as a percentage of its original width and height above the status bar.

Return a graphic to its original size1. Click the graphic.

2. Click Picture > Picture Properties.

3. Click the Picture Info tab.

4. Click Reset in the Scaling section.

Add alternate text for the graphic1. Click the graphic.

2. Click Picture > Picture Properties.

3. Click the Picture Info tab.

4. Enter a name in the Alternate Text field, and then click the check mark to save.

Add a caption for the graphic1. Click the graphic.

2. Click Picture > Picture Properties.

3. Click the Picture Info tab.

4. Enter a caption in the Caption field; and then click the check mark to save.

5. Choose where the caption should be placed, in relation to the graphic, in the Display caption field.

Delete a graphicClick the graphic, and then click Edit > Delete.
