Managing your online status
Your online status tells other people if you are available for online chats and instant meetings. Each online status is indicated by a unique icon and a customizable online status message.

Note: The features described in this topic are available only if your company has an IBM Lotus Sametime server. The Macintosh version of Lotus Notes does not support some instant messaging features, for example, instant meetings and multiple-person chats.

If your online status is Active, Away, or Do Not Disturb, an icon appears before your name throughout others' Mail, Calendar, Contacts, and instant messaging contact list to indicate that you are logged on to instant messaging.

The table below describes the types of online status:

Regular users

Logged on but away from the computer. A person with this status can receive messages. Any messages will remain on the screen until the person returns to the computer.(Person's name) is away or not using the computer now.
Do Not Disturb Do not disturb  icon Logged on but unavailable. You cannot send messages to people with this status.Do not disturb me.
