CALENDAR AND TO DO LIST

Setting an alarm
You can set an alarm to remind you of a calendar entry or to do item.

When you set an alarm, you can specify a sound to play when the alarm goes off. You can also have NotesR send an e-mail notification to specified recipients when the alarm goes off.

1. In a to do item, specify a due date.

2. In a calendar entry or to do item, select Notify Me.

3. In the Alarm will go off fields, specify a value, select Day(s), Hour(s), or Minute(s), and select Before or After to set the amount of time before or after the calendar entry's start time or date, or to do item's due date, to trigger the alarm.

4. (Optional) To play a sound when the alarm goes off, select Play a sound and select a sound to play. Click the speaker icon to test the selected sound.

5. (Optional) To send an e-mail when the alarm goes off, select Send mail notification with subject and type the names of those you want to receive the e-mail in the Recipients field. Click the address book icon to select names from a directory.

6. Click OK, and then save the entry.

Note: You must be running IBMR Lotus NotesR (or Notes Minder) at the time an alarm goes off in order to get the alarm notice. Otherwise, Notes notifies you of missed alarms the next time you log in to Notes.
