Sending a message
When you send a mail message, IBMR Lotus NotesR saves a copy of it in the Sent view by default.

To see messages you have sent and saved, click Sent in the mail navigation pane. Once you create or edit a draft of a message, there are a variety of ways to send it.


Sending tasks
    Task

Send the message and save a copy in the Sent viewClick Send. After you send a message, the status bar reports the number of recipients to whom it was delivered.
Send the message without saving itPress Esc and click Send Only.
Save a copy of the message in the Drafts view without sending itClick Save as Draft.
Send the message and save a copy in a specific folderClick Send and File, and then select the folder. NotesR also saves the message in the Sent view.
Discard the message without sending or savingPress Esc and click Discard.
Resend a new copy of a previously sent and saved messageSelect the message, click More above the message list, click Copy Into New > Message, and then address, edit, and send the new message.
Change how you save your sent mailSee To change how you save your sent mail. For example, you can prevent Notes from automatically saving all messages that you send to keep the size of your mail smaller.
Recall a sent messageSee Recalling a message.
Track a sent messageSee To track a message that has been sent.
Stop a message from being sent after you send it while working offlineDelete the message from your outgoing mailbox before going online.
