Managing junk mail
You can set up your mail application to control junk mail, such as bulk messages and spam messages. Managing junk mail improves your productivity by reducing the amount of mail that you have to deal with. You can separate unwanted messages from the rest by filtering messages by sender, subject, and content.

You have a few options for managing junk mail:

Options for managing junk mail
    Option
    Description
Deliver a sender's mail to Junk
Keep a specific sender's mail out of your Inbox, but be able to check your Junk folder, in case some messages are not junk.
This option is useful if you get bulk or other unwanted mail from the same sender, but you might want to read some messages.
    Manage junk mail with QuickRules
Filter junk mail using sender name, domain, or subject line. Send messages to a separate folder or block them altogether.
This option is useful if spam senders frequently change sender information (to avoid being blocked). It is also useful if you would like to block mail altogether or send it to a folder other than Junk.
    Use Spam Protection
See a list of senders that your organization blocks, add your own blocked senders, or choose to receive mail from specific company-blocked senders.

Note: If you do not see the Spam Protection option in the left pane of your mail (with Folders and Views), then your organization does not use this service.
