Create a new document | Use any of the following ways to create a new document:
- From the menu, click File > New and then select the document type.
- From the toolbar menu, click New, and then select the document type.
- Click a toolbar button, if available.

Save a document and keep it open | Click File > Save, or press Ctrl+S (Macintosh users, COMMAND+S). |
Save and close a document | Click File > Close, or Press ESC. |
Temporarily save a document to a local application | Click File > AutoSave > AutoSave Now.
Note: The application must include the Autosave feature. |
