To specify whether to display remote images in Internet mail
Internet mail refers to users who are not using Lotus Notes protocol for their mail. An internet protocol is less secure than Notes, so if someone mails you an image from internet mail, you can set that you don't want those images to display automatically, in case they contain viruses.

1. Click File > Preferences > User Preferences.

2. Click Mail > Internet.

3. Clear the Do not show remote images without my permission check box to display remote images in Internet mail you receive automatically. When this option is selected and you open an Internet message that contains remote images, you are prompted to display the remote images or not for your security.

4. Click OK.
