INSTANT MESSAGING

Displaying the instant messaging contact list
The instant messaging contact list contains the names of people with whom you want to have chat sessions on a regular basis.

Note: The features described in this topic are available only if your company has an IBM Lotus Sametime server. The Macintosh version of Lotus Notes does not support some instant messaging features, for example, instant meetings and multiple-person chats.

Even before you add any names to your instant messaging contact list, you will see all the names in the current mail message's From, To, and cc fields at the top of the list. These names change depending on which mail message is active.

To display the instant messaging contact list, click the instant messaging portion of the status bar (where your online status displays, such as "I Am Active") and select Show/Hide Instant Contact List.
