BROWSING THE WEB FROM NOTES

Browsing Web pages offline
You can use IBM Lotus Notes to browse Web pages offline (disconnected from an IBM Lotus Domino network and the Internet) if you use the "Notes with Internet Explorer" browser and connect directly to the Web.

Offline browsing is possible because Web pages you visit using either connection method are saved in a Notes application. If you connect directly, pages are saved locally in the Personal Web Navigator.

To set Notes for offline viewing

1. From the menu, click File > Preferences > Location Preferences.

2. Click the Internet Browser tab.

3. In the Retrieve/open pages field, select "work offline."

4. Click Save and Close.

To browse pages in the Personal Web Navigator

To view a saved Web page offline, follow these steps:

1. Open the Personal Web Navigator application (PERWEB.NSF).

2. Click "All Pages" in the left pane.

3. Double-click the page you want to view.
