HOME PAGE CUSTOMIZATION

Deleting saved Web pages automatically
You can automatically delete pages from your Personal Web Navigator application using the Housekeeping agent, which deletes expired pages at 1:00 AM every day.

Before you can enable the Housekeeping agent, you must first enable scheduled local agents in Notes user preferences. (From the menu, click File > Preferences > User Preferences and click Enable scheduled local agents under Startup options on the Basics panel.) Once you have done that, follow these steps to enable the Housekeeping agent.

1. Open any Web page in IBM Lotus Notes.

2. From the menu, click Actions > Internet Options.

3. Click the Size options tab.

4. From the drop-down list, click one of the following options:

5. Select the number of days (15, 30, 60, 90) that a page should be in the application before Notes deletes it.

6. (Optional) If you want Notes to warn you when the application exceeds a certain size, check "Warn me when the database exceeds" and specify a size in megabytes.

7. Click Enable Housekeeping.

8. Click Save and Close.

To disable the Housekeeping agent, repeat steps 1 -- 3 and 7 -- 8, clicking "Disable Housekeeping" in Step 7.

Tip: To manually reduce the size of the Personal Web Navigator, open the application, click View > Other > File Archive, then delete files from the list.
