Editing documents: putting a document in Edit mode
Before you can make changes to a document, you must put it in Edit mode. Putting a document in Edit mode is a safeguard so that you do not make inadvertent changes while you are reading a document.

To make changes to a document in an application, open or select a document to edit, then do any of the following to put the document in Edit mode:


Note: You need Author access to an application to edit documents you created, and Editor or greater access to edit documents others have created.
