Working with containers, rather than with standard components, is like working with a template for a particular type of application component. A container gives you the ability to easily publish or receive properties on selection events within these forms to integrate them into an application. You can select what types of fields to add and edit the component properties in the component property editor, or from the component toolbar, without needing to interact with the WSDL property editor. You can accept the default configuration for each component or customize the configuration to suit your application requirements. After selecting what properties to expose, you can wire the components to other components in your application.

Note If this container is not provisioned with the Composite Application Editor, see your administrator about downloading it from an update site.

You can create a component based on Lotus Notes Documents using the Composite Application editor. Keep the following in mind when using the Notes Document container in the Composite Application Editor:

The component should be configured to receive and send data (output properties and input actions to set fields)

You should be able to identify how forms and documents are identified using Formula language

The component properties should be flexible to support both Fields and Formulas as used in a Notes Document

Publishing of properties should be supported during the initial load of the document and field changes

This container supports the same attributes as the other containers such as shared/separate namespaces for properties and automatic registration of properties and actions without WSDL
